Acoustic Doors/Windows

THE ROOM'S REVERBERATION TIME AND ACOUSTIC CORRECTION

Acoustic doors or soundproof doors are a fundamental, often overlooked, element for the success of a soundproof room. The soundproof door must be chosen carefully, not mainly from an aesthetic point of view, but above all based on its soundproofing capacity which must be very similar to the average insulation of the soundproof wall.

Puma Acoustics uses innovative totally glass soundproof doors with noise reduction of 42 dB (single soundproof door) or 55 dB (double soundproof door). Our acoustic doors are made with transparent or opaline crystals, to give the room natural lighting.

CHOICE AND USE OF ACOUSTIC WINDOWS

The acoustic window is generally intended to connect two adjacent soundproof areas, such as a recording room and a control room      in a recording studio. The acoustic window is made with parallel shatterproof glass of appropriately differentiated thickness.

There are 2 types of acoustic windows: single frame with 4 glasses, with an acoustic cut of 40 dB, or double frame (as in rehearsal rooms) where 8 glasses and 3 air chambers guarantee the acoustic cut of project which is usually certified at 75dB.

The installation must be very accurate to ensure maximum efficiency. Also intradoses that house the acoustic windows must be treated specifically.
