The “Diamond Chamber” at the University of Ferrara

Last November 29th, the “Diamond Chamber” was inaugurated at the Acoustics Laboratory of the University of Ferrara, a semi-anechoic room installed thanks to the technological and manufacturing contribution of Puma Soundproofing, which designed, produced all the structural components and installed the audiometric cabin that was the development basis for the Diamond Chamber.”

This chamber allows to simulate complex environments with a unique level of sound detail, allowing highly specific studies that can find application in various fields: from the wearability of hearing aids, allowing audiologists to test the hearing aids in complex and dynamic sound scenarios; to industry, optimizing the products sound, up to cultural assets that can benefit from this infrastructure, allowing the creation of immersive experiences in virtually reconstructed historical or natural places, where sound plays a fundamental role in recreating the original atmosphere.
